Continued Progress

“We've made a lot of progress in the last four years.
I have the expertise and people skills needed to
continue the improvements in Etna Township
without the added tax burdens.”

Jeff Johnson

Political Leadership

Incumbent Etna Township Trustee Jeff Johnson seeks your vote to continue to make progress on important issues to township voters.

Priorities:

  • Continuing to improve relations with surrounding communities and business developers.
  • Working with the Southwest Licking Community Water and Sewer District to keep rates competitive and affordable.

Since his election in 2007, Johnson, 47, has played an integral role in making improvements to the operations of the township. He advanced the construction of a new township hall and the hiring of a full time zoning administrator and full time road crew member - all without creating any new debt or taxes to fund the projects.

Johnson has also served on the Etna Township Board of Zoning Appeals and Etna Township Comprehensive Planning Council/Commission.

Family Values

Johnson is as committed to your family values as he is his own.

Married 24 years to wife Susan, he is the proud father of sons, Cody, 20, and Cameron, 18. Johnson is a building engineer, helping to maintain the Columbia Gas of Ohio building in downtown Columbus, and has worked over 20 years for Pitney Bowes. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from DeVry University in 1985.

Johnson finds time to mentor community youth as a volunteer assistant coach for the Watkins Memorial Jr. Varsity Soccer team, a former SWL Youth Baseball League president and coach, former Reynoldsburg Youth Soccer coach and in High School Youth Ministry at Eastside Grace Brethren Church.

Township Experience

Serving Etna Township for the past 4 years has provided Johnson with invaluable experience. He recognizes the importance of stretching government funds during the country's current economic downturn, and pledges to continue to be fiscally responsible.

“There's a need for development in the township that won't take away from its rural nature but still will provide revenue. The key is to keep communications open with neighboring municipalities that are actively seeking development, as well as developers, to keep from losing areas of the township to annexation.”

Jeff Johnson

Community Leadership

As a longtime resident of Etna Township, Jeff Johnson has provided a lifetime of dedicated service to his community. He believes that strong working relationships with neighboring communities will enable Etna Township to head in the right direction for the future. He is committed to preserving it as a great place to live and work.
